Tang Daizhi    

Employee Director    

Born in December 1963, Mr. Tang Daizhi is a professor-level senior economist. He received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from China Europe International Business School and a Doctor of Science degree in Oil and Gas Engineering (Petroleum Engineering Management) from China University of Petroleum. In May 2005, he was appointed Chairman of the Labor Union of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL). In October 2005, he became Vice Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Secretary of COSL. In June 2007, he was appointed Vice General Manager of Human Resources Department of CNOOC. In June 2008, he became General Manager of Human Resources Department of CNOOC and CNOOC Limited. In December 2013, Mr. Tang was transferred and appointed to a temporary leading positon by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee as a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Weinan Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Weinan. In December 2015, he was appointed Party Secretary of CNOOC International Limited. He was concurrently appointed Party Secretary of CNOOC overseas affiliates in April 2016 and Chairman of the Labor Union of CNOOC International Limited in June 2017. In February 2018, he became Vice Party Secretary directly under CNOOC and Vice Director of United Front Work Department of CNOOC. In September 2019, he was appointed Director of Party Affairs and Employee Relations Department, Director of Party Conduct Construction Office, Vice Party Secretary directly under CNOOC and Vice Director of United Front Work Department of CNOOC. In April 2020, he became Vice Chief Economist of CNOOC, General Manager of Human Resources Department of CNOOC and CNOOC Limited and Director of Organization Department of CNOOC. In September 2020, he was appointed Employee Director of CNOOC.
