By March 14, China's largest crude production base Bohai oilfield had produced more than 500 million tons of oil and gas equivalent. The annual production of Bohai oilfield has been steadily rising each year.

Oil and gas production in Bohai oilfield exceeded 30 million tons last year, which is half of the country's crude oil output increase in 2021 and makes Bohai oilfield the country's largest crude production base.

In recent years, a number of green and digital transformation projects have been carried out in Bohai oilfield in pursuit of the nation's dual carbon goals, including the onshore power project for Qinhuangdao/Caofeidian offshore oilfield group, Qinhuangdao 32-6 digital oilfield project phase 1 and Lvda 21-2 the heavy oil thermal recovery demonstration platform.
