From March 4 to 5, CNOOC put into production two automatic mask production lines at Chongqing, which can produce 200,000 pieces of masks per day. Six more production lines are under construction, two expected to commence production around March 10 and four around March 20. By then, the total production capacity will reach 600,000 pieces.

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, CNOOC has made utmost efforts to ensure oil and gas supply, produce disinfectants and collect and deliver anti-virus materials for epidemic prevention. To ease the shortage of masks, CNOOC made the investment to construct mask production lines at Dianjiang County, Chongqing.
