On November 5, CNOOC signed procurement contracts with 18 global suppliers at the third China International Import Expo (CIIE). During the three CIIEs, CNOOC has imported nearly US$90 billion of goods and services in total. CNOOC Chairman Wang Dongjin attended the event and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Wang Dongjin said that the year of 2020 is an unusual year for CNOOC. Faced with dual challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the slump in international oil prices, CNOOC has advanced cooperation with international partners with big strides. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, CNOOC will continue to deepen cooperation with partners in the fields of oil and gas, new chemical materials in the mid and downstream sectors, construction of oil and gas retail terminals, in overseas businesses as well as in new energies, new businesses, new technologies and new industries.

Representatives from Baker Hughes, SAP, Schneider Electric and other contracted companies spoke at the ceremony. They said that the CIIE has provided a win-win platform for both Chinese and foreign companies, hoping to take the opportunity to further collaboration with CNOOC and help facilitate CNOOC's high-quality development through oil and gas development technologies and digital transformation.
