On October 20, Corporate Governance Asia released the 10th Asian Excellence Awards. CNOOC Limited won the award of "Best Investor Relations Company" for the tenth consecutive year. Xu Keqiang, CEO and Executive Director of CNOOC Limited, was awarded "Asia's Best CEO (Investor Relations)". Xie Weizhi, CFO of CNOOC Limited, was awarded "Asia's Best CFO (Investor Relations)".

Launched in 2011, the Asian Excellence Awards are designed to recognize the achievements and excellence in management acumen, financial performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental practices and investor relations.
