CNOOC Limited Adds over 100 Billion Cubic Meters of Proved Gas In-place

On August 7, CNOOC Limited announced that Chinese governmental authorities have approved the proved gas in-place of Lingshui 36-1 gas field, which stands at over 100 billion cubic meters. It is the first large-size ultra-shallow gas field in ultra-deep water in the world, which opens up a new area of exploration in deep waters.
CNOOC Limited Achieved High Yield Well in Beibu Gulf

On July 23, CNOOC Limited announced that it has achieved a high yield well in Beibu Gulf, which produces daily over 1,000 cubic meters of oil equivalent. Wushi 16-5 structure is located in Wushi Sag, Beibu Gulf, with an average water depth of approximately 25 meters. The appraisal well WS16-5-4 was drilled and completed at a depth of 4,185 meters, encountering a total of 65 meters oil pay zones.
CNOOC Limited Made Major Exploration Breakthrough in Bohai Bay

On July 15, CNOOC Limited announced that it has achieved a major exploration breakthrough in Mesozoic buried hill offshore Bohai Bay. Longkou 7-1 oilfield is located in eastern Bohai Bay, with an average water depth of about 26 meters. The discovery well LK7-1-1 was drilled and completed at a depth of approximately 4,400 meters, which encountered a total of 76 meters oil and gas pay zones.
