On August 18, Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Classification Society (CCS) at Beijing.

As one of the 10 full members of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), CCS is the only authorized institution in China that specializes in marine facilities standards regulation, ship classification, domestic ship inspection and industrial services.

According to the agreement, CCS would provide assistance to the company with its technologies, services, management experiences and information sources, while COOEC would help CCS strengthen its energy industrial testing services and comprehensive competitiveness through full support of experience feedback and testing businesses. The agreement is targeted to further enhance the cooperation relationship between CNOOC and CCS.
