On August 7th, CNOOC kicked off the construction of an offshore multifunctional environmental protection vessel  which could serve the functions of receiving and storing drilling-logging fluids as well as oil spill recovery. After the completion, the multifunctional vessel will be employed in the development of Bohai Oilfield. Following the construction of China's first marine oil spill recovery vessel, a support vessel to Huizhou Refinery Project, the new vessel is another effort of CNOOC to contribute to energy reservation and environmental protection.
